Advertising Services

BVICulture.com offers paid advertising placements on selected pages, blog posts, categories, and other eligible areas of the website.

Available placements, booking periods, pricing, discounts, and availability may change from time to time.

Advertising Placement

Advertisers may select from eligible advertising placements made available through the BVICulture advertising system.

A placement represents the page, post, section, or other area where an advertisement is scheduled to appear.

BVICulture may temporarily remove a placement because of:

• website redesigns or maintenance;
• content changes;
• technical limitations;
• discontinued pages or sections;
• security concerns; or
• other operational reasons.

If a paid placement becomes permanently unavailable before the campaign begins, BVICulture may offer a comparable placement, account credit, campaign extension, or refund where appropriate.

Payment

Advertising fees must be paid before an advertisement is activated, unless BVICulture has approved another payment arrangement.

Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers, including Stripe.

Successful payment does not automatically mean that an advertisement has been approved for publication.

Destination URLs

Advertisers must provide a valid website or landing-page destination for their banner.

The advertiser is responsible for ensuring that the destination:

• remains available and operational;
• accurately represents the advertised offer;
• is safe and secure;
• does not redirect visitors to malicious or unrelated content; and
• complies with applicable laws.

BVICulture may suspend an advertisement if its destination becomes unsafe, misleading, unavailable, or materially different from the destination originally reviewed.

Campaign Start Date

Advertisers may request a preferred campaign start date during booking.

The advertising period begins after:

1. payment has been successfully received;
2. the banner has been uploaded;
3. the advertisement has been reviewed and approved; and
4. the selected placement is available.

If approval occurs after the requested start date, BVICulture may adjust the campaign start date so that the advertiser receives the full purchased advertising period.

Advertising Performance

BVICulture may provide campaign statistics such as:

• impressions;
• clicks;
• click-through rate; and
• campaign dates.

Advertising statistics may differ from third-party analytics platforms because of browser privacy settings, caching, tracking prevention, bots, network conditions, or other technical factors.

Cancellations & Refunds

Once an advertisement has been approved and the campaign has started, advertising bookings are generally considered final.

Refund requests submitted before publication will be reviewed individually.

No refund is ordinarily provided because of:

• low advertising performance;
• low click-through rates;
• lack of sales or enquiries;
• early voluntary cancellation by the advertiser; or
• suspension resulting from violation of these terms.

Non-refundable payment-processing fees may be deducted from an approved refund where permitted.

No Endorsement

The appearance of an advertisement on BVICulture.com does not mean BVICulture endorses, recommends, guarantees, or independently verifies the advertiser, its products, or its services.

Changes to Advertising Services

BVICulture may update its advertising system, available placements, pricing, discount structure, technical requirements, policies, or these Advertising Terms.

Changes generally apply to future advertising bookings and do not alter already-paid campaigns unless required for legal, technical, security, or operational reasons.

Advertiser Indemnification

Advertisers are responsible for claims arising from advertising materials, representations, products, services, or destination websites supplied by them.

Advertisers agree to be responsible for reasonable claims, losses, or costs arising from infringement, unlawful advertising content, misleading claims, or other violations caused by materials they provide, to the extent permitted by law.

Banner Requirements

Unless otherwise stated, BVICulture sidebar advertisements must be exactly:

• JPG or JPEG
• PNG
• WebP
• Maximum file size: 700 KB

Advertisements that do not meet the required dimensions, file format, or file-size requirements may be rejected and returned to the advertiser for correction.

Booking Periods & Discounts

Advertising may be purchased for the booking periods currently shown on the BVICulture advertising page.

Applicable discounts are calculated automatically during booking.

BVICulture may change pricing or promotional discounts for future bookings. Changes will not alter the price of a booking that has already been paid and confirmed.

Review & Approval

All advertisements are subject to review by BVICulture before publication.

BVICulture may reject, request changes to, suspend, or remove an advertisement that:

• contains misleading or deceptive information;
• promotes unlawful products, services, or activities;
• contains malware, malicious code, or unsafe links;
• infringes copyright, trademarks, privacy rights, or other rights;
• contains hateful, discriminatory, defamatory, or inappropriate material;
• falsely implies endorsement by BVICulture;
• misrepresents a business, product, service, or offer; or
• is otherwise unsuitable for the BVICulture audience.

Advertiser Responsibilities

Advertisers represent that they have the necessary rights and permissions to use all logos, images, artwork, trademarks, text, and other materials submitted for advertising.

Advertisers are responsible for the accuracy of advertising claims, pricing, promotions, offers, and other information contained in the advertisement or destination website.

BVICulture does not independently verify every claim made by an advertiser.

Banner Changes

BVICulture may allow advertisers to request replacement artwork during an active advertising campaign.

Replacement banners remain subject to the same technical requirements and approval process as the original advertisement.

A replacement banner may not be displayed until it has been reviewed and approved.

Website Downtime

Temporary interruptions may occur because of hosting outages, maintenance, software updates, security incidents, CDN or network issues, third-party service interruptions, or circumstances beyond BVICulture’s reasonable control.

For significant interruptions that materially affect an active campaign, BVICulture may extend the advertising period where appropriate.

Removal or Suspension

BVICulture may immediately suspend or remove an advertisement if it presents a security, legal, reputational, or user-safety concern.

Where practical, BVICulture may contact the advertiser and provide an opportunity to correct the issue.

Serious or repeated violations may result in cancellation of the campaign.

Intellectual Property

Advertisers retain ownership of the advertising materials they submit.

By submitting advertising material, the advertiser grants BVICulture a limited, non-exclusive licence to reproduce, display, resize, optimize, cache, and distribute the advertisement as reasonably necessary to provide the purchased advertising service.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, BVICulture will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from an advertising campaign.

Where BVICulture is legally responsible for a claim directly connected to a paid advertising placement, its financial responsibility will generally be limited to the amount paid for the campaign giving rise to the claim, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Privacy

Advertising booking information may be used to:

• process payments;
• administer advertising campaigns;
• communicate with advertisers;
• provide campaign support;
• prevent fraud or abuse; and
• maintain transaction and business records.

Payment information handled by third-party processors is also subject to the privacy and security policies of those providers.
