“Powerboat Fun, Scenic Views & Island Celebration“
The Leverick Bay Poker Run is a thrilling annual powerboat event held in the British Virgin Islands, combining the excitement of poker with the adventure of island-hopping. Participants navigate a predetermined route, stopping at various locations across the BVI to collect playing cards. At each designated stop, a card is drawn, culminating in a five-card poker hand by the end of the run.
The event commences at Leverick Bay Resort & Marina, with registration starting at 8:00 AM and the run beginning at 11:00 AM. Boats must return to Leverick Bay by 5:00 PM, where the hands are evaluated, and prizes are awarded to the top three poker hands. Beyond the competition, the Poker Run is renowned for its vibrant after-party featuring live DJs, fashion shows, and a festive atmosphere.
Importantly, the event also serves a charitable purpose, with a portion of the proceeds donated to local Virgin Gorda charities, contributing over $179,000 to date. These funds support community development, youth programs, and essential services. By participating, attendees not only enjoy an unforgettable boating experience but also help make a meaningful impact across the British Virgin Islands.
